An art commission with me can be a creative experience. All you will need to do is fill in the form with your choices, it might help to let me know your motivation, who’s it for? etc. Additionally, a starting point or inspiration for the creative process, perhaps some information.
For a satisfying venture, you need an appreciation for my work and a desire for some of that.
My interests in art in terms of inspiration for my practice centre mostly around paintings of the 20th-century. From Modernism onwards; abstraction and the breaking up of representational perspectives. I am especially interested in the pictorial space where representation opens out into nonrepresentation or abstraction; the zone between the two.
Having looked through my work on this website, you can gauge my approach. When we agree, I will use my best aesthetic skill and judgement to satisfy the commission.
Please allow up to six months for large paintings (don’t be put off it’s less time for small artwork) depending on the scale, complexity and my current workload. If you have a specific deadline please contact me and check my availability.
Fill in the form for art commissions. The form will cover all the necessary details for working in this way.
To simplify the process I have structured three sizes and prices. The paintings are made with acrylic paint on premium 10 oz cotton stretched canvas. Each commission is paid in three instalments. The first instalment is a non-refundable deposit which will allow the project to begin. When I am two thirds into the work I will contact you for the second instalment. On completion, I will contact you with photographs of the finished piece, on receipt of the final payment, the courier will deliver the work.
If you have specific bespoke requirements please contact me, either via the art commission form or email.
You will find details of the agreement between us for entering into an art commission here. Art Commission Agreement.
